The home of Endurance Riding in Ireland on the web - ILDRA (Irish Long Distance Riding Association) run the sport in Ireland and needed a centralised resource to promote and keep members informed of news, events and successes at local and international level. To do this they commissioned Truska
We delivered a completely new site developed in PHP using a MySQL database to run the content management of the site. Each region has a login to a secure area where they can manage their calendar and news sections allowing them to keep the site fully up to date with all the news and events relating to the region and nationally.
"Endurance Riding has seen a huge successes during 2009 with the Irish Team winning both the prestigious Home International and Celtic Challenge trophies, the subsequent press coverage drew much interest and having an up to date and fully informed web site was a absolute must for us" said Kirsten Conly who is a director of ILRDRA Ltd. She went on to say that "… the new site has been received very positively by the members and we even have had new people contacting us as a result of looking up our details on-line within weeks of the new site going live. We did not really know exactly what we needed when we set out but David has advised and then designed a site to meet our needs and we are still now able to amend bits as we get to see how it works in the real world. Truska has delivered just what we needed and in a timely fashion as well."
Truska provided hosting for the main domain name and also now manages a number of other domains that point to the main site. Further development is planned over the later part of 2009 to allow images to be displayed and prints and other related products purchased using a PhotoBox shop. Plans are being discussed on the possibility of taking entries on-line and much much more.
