Truska are please to announce that the new www.promed.ie site went live in the middle of July, nearly 2 weeks ahead of schedule.

The job involved quite complex exports from an existing Access database and Opera accounts system into an Actinic based hierarchical based import file which holds not only product details but also section details, custom product and section properties and more. The site is now much more coinfigurable for future development. (28th July 2004)

Truska are to delighted to have won the contract to upgrade Promed Limited, Ireland leading Medical Supplier's, full e-commerce store. Using Actinic the site is being redesigned to operate more effectively and to offer the ability for both account and non-account customers to order on-line 24/7 from the complete range of over 9000 product lines.

Product information is currently kept in a back office system, from her the details for the web site are extracted and then uploaded into Actinic and on to the web. Changes in prices, including the inclusion of monthly and other periodic special offers, changes in product range, description, packaging quantities etc. are all updated into the back office system once and once only. This information is then used for both printed catalogues and for the web store ensuring that details are always up to date with the minimum of effort.

The site is due to go live again before the end of July 2004. More details here when live. (June 2004)
