How does it all work?
Using a database style program you set up your various options including
terms and conditions, guarantees and a sophisticated shipping calculator as well
as settings for tax calculations based on geographic region and currency
settings.
Then you set up your products using an easy to use windows interface. You can
include photos, text descriptions, component stock and selection criteria such
as colour as well as value added selling, i.e. offer files to those that buy
a filing cabinet. You can have up to 10,000 products on line at any one time.
If you are operating a business-to-business site you now need to enter your
customer details, pricing structures and other relevant customer
details.
If you use Sage accounting software all your product and customer
information can be transferred directly from Sage into Actinic.
A simple click will send all this from your own PC to your chosen Internet
site and your shop is open.
Submission to search engines then takes place to ensure that people find your
site.
The buying process. Your customers will find the product(s) they
want on your site and add them to their shopping basket. When ready
they select to go to the checkout, which is on a secure server,
where they enter their address and credit card details etc. Payment
is authorised and confirmations sent and that's it. As easy as 1
- 2 - 3.
The system then sends you an e-mail and you simply go on-line and
click a button to download all the orders from which you can print
invoices, link to suitable accounting system, and carry out other
sales and processing functions whist also sending out the goods.
Full integration of sales from the web site into Sage Accounts is
now available.
For business-to-business customers you send an invoice out and for end user
consumer customers the monies are transferred from their credit card to your nominated account
and it's all over. You have a sale and a happy customer. Remember
happy customers may come back, unhappy ones won't .
