Truska
Enterprises was established in 1992 by David Cunningham
to meet the growing IT demands of Northern Ireland based
small and medium sized businesses. David has extensive
experience in industry and this, along with his wide IT
skills, enables Truska to offer a complete and empathic
service to both its many new customers and to its long
established customers.
At Truska we provide a quality
range of services to the small and medium sized business
including: web design and e-commerce
(shop on-line) services, a range of Information and Electronic
Document Management Systems, and a Remote BackUp service
for Secure On-Line Off-Site Backup of critical data.
Concentrating on our core products and services,
whilst partnering with other like minded IT companies,
has meant that we can ensure that our clients' needs are
met for all IT requirements.
Truska is a member of B-4-B, a Northern
Ireland based networking group for SME's, and the FSB
(Federation of Small Businesses). In addition, David has
been a member of BNI
(Business Network International) Belfast City Chapter
since 2003. BNI is a referral organisation that has accounted
for a significant percentage of Truska's new business.
Leaving computers behind David is a keen
amateur fencer an enjoys watercolour painting, although
he has been strongly advised not to give up his day job.
David is married and with 3 growing children and a managery
of animals needs all the web sites he can get to keep
them sustained and happy!
In the past David has been involved in many
activities including Horse riding, where he competed in
various spheres of the sport including Eventing (right),
and he is also a qualified Riding Instructor having gained
his BHSAI. He also spent many years scub-diving before
having to hang up his gear due to an accident, he was,
again, a qualified instructor and advanced diver and lead
several expeditions to such places as Donegal, Cork, Scotland
and St. Kilda. He has also been a Cub Scout Leader, served
on the committees, including holding office posts, of
various organisations, from the Scouts to Riding Clubs,
Diving Clubs and Fencing Clubs, many at both Club and
Country level. He also started and edited a Northern Ireland
Diving Magazine for many years.
David is a of Council member of the RUAS
(Royal Ulster Agricultural Society) which owns and run
the King's Hall Exhibition Centre, the Balmoral Show and
the Royal Ulster Winter Fair. He has served on various
committees and is currently chairman of the Show Safety
Committee. In this role he is responsible for over viewing
all aspects of safety, risk assessment, and related areas
at both the Balmoral Show, held in May each year, and
the Winter Fair Dairy Show held in December. During the
3 Day May Show David is Chief Steward for the Main Arena
at the Show coordinating all the events and attractions
that use the Main Arena from Parades, National and International
Show Jumping, Pony Judging, Pony Club Games and main attractions,
which in the past has included quad and motorbike displays
including the White Helmets and Kangaroo Kid, Dancing
JCB Diggers, Chariots of Fire driving display team and
more.
