Why do want a database on the web?
If you sell a range of products or offer information that clients
may wish to search for you could use a database to manage this.
A good example is where you are looking for a house and you go to
an estate agent's site, enter the area and price band of your target
house and let the system, or the database, do the rest.
A database is also used to control entry to restricted sites, manage
e-mail lists and present selections of information based on client
